(Sweden) According to AP and Instablogs: “Skanska AB, the Nordic region’s biggest construction group, said Tuesday it will slash 3,400 jobs, or almost 6 percent of its work force, due to a weakening in the construction market.

The Swedish company said it will cut 2,000 jobs in Sweden, 800 in Norway and 600 in Finland. The cost of the savings package will be about 600 million kronor ($74 million), Skanska said.”
