Sears lays off 300 corporate workers

According to Reuters, WSJ and CNBC: “Sears Holdings, which operates Kmart and Sears department stores, laid off 300 corporate jobs on Friday”.

“The layoffs represented about 4.3 percent of the company’s 6,900 corporate workers and will come out of the firm’s headquarters in Illinois as well as facilities in Michigan and New York city.”

  1. These 300 employees do not include the 100’s of employees that work in the Sears and K-mart stores around the U.S. Not to mention the District Managers will be cut in half due to this mass layoff.

  2. living in kamloops bc canada. huge amount customer loss due to kamloops parts & service closure. myself & huge amount of friends have taken business elseware. you are what your business is. customer service comes first. otherwise you now have lost customers. lack of! will look forward to your reply.
