Ingram Micro cuts 300 jobs

Ingram Micro (NYSE: IM) – wholesale provider of technology products and supply chain services – laid off 8 percent of its North American workforce Tuesday, about 300 employees.

About 100 employees were let go in the company’s Williamsville, N.Y., campus, another 50 in Canada and 150 more spread across the company’s Santa Ana, Calif., corporate headquarters and other centers in the United States.

  1. Thanks Obama, way to bring confidence back to the stock market and economy, are you going to do anything that you promised? Where is the magical pixie dust everyone said you had, many said you were going to ride in on your unicorn and lead us back to prosperity. It looks like the critics were right and you are selling us out (mostly to China) and killing capitalism in America. Way to go.

    see how that feels? It’s pointless to blame any one person or thing. And the case about “everyone” and “critics” is just pointless rhetoric.

    If anything, Obama isn’t stressing enough about how things are going to get even worse for the next few years. Seriously, I don’t know of anyone around me that was deluded with the unicorn hyperbole. It was all about getting the hell out of Iraq and focusing on our own serious internal problems for a change.
